ABOUT US

Hi,
Thanks for stopping by.

We started publishing Daedal because, quite frankly, most Interior Design & Interior Architecture magazines in Ireland are nothing more than thinly disguised ad-rags and as interior professionals we found them of little or no use. We wanted a publication that showcased inspirational products, innovative projects and contained relevant, useful information.

The great benefit of a digital newsletter is the freedom it gives you financially - because we're not dependant on advertising revenue for our survival, what we feature is solely based on the item's design merits.

We have a few rules at Daedal:

Rule #1 - It is better to have a small amount of relevant, useful, engaging editorial than to have a lot of weak editorial.

Rule #2 - Advertorials are the scourge of magazines and will never, ever have a place in Daedal.
(Advertorial is the term used for advertising dressed up as an article.)

Rule #3 - Text should supplement images, not replace them. Text should never repeat information given in an image.

Rule #4 - Content should always be at the discretion of the editorial team. We report on items that
interest us and that we hope will be of interest to fellow interior professionals.

Rule #5 - Avoid vanilla. Who wants to read wishy-washy commentary. In Daedal we believe in opinions.
You may not always agree with them but that, my dear, is your prerogative.

All the best and happy reading.

Elaine Butler & Lorraine McCarthy
