Review of Milan Furniture Fair 2009 by Irish Interior Architect Denise Ryan.
Having finally found a hotel which only costed a small fortune instead of a large one, I made my way to the Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan last week. The worlds biggest design fair attracts over 350,000 people every year, more than half of whom are visitors to Italy. As a result, rooms in the city are precious and Milan’s hotels take advantage of the fact that mostly companies are footing the bills. Hotel Chain Helps Jet Lagged Guests
Through a partnership between Westin Hotels & Resorts and Philips, guests at The Westin Chicago River North can stay in a specially designed Concept Room aimed at helping guests combat sleep troubles and jet lag.

Paris to get a new Pyramid
Le Projet Triangle by Herzog & de Meuron will now become the first high-rise building in Paris since the Tour Montparnasse, which means that it has to meet correspondingly high expectations. The design is a 50-storey, glassed-in pyramid with a triangular base. The 180-metre hotel and office complex is to be constructed in the 15th. arrondissement in the south west of the city, and will provide office space for a total of around 5000 people. In addition there will be shops on the ground floor, a hotel and a panorama restaurant.
