The Institute of Designers in Ireland are pleased to announce the call for entries for the 12th Annual IDI Design Awards.
Ten people currently practising as architects without formal qualifications will be the first to undertake compulsory assessment to be allowed to use the title architect. Self-educated architects over 35 years of age are now required to undergo an assessment, costing €6,300, which includes the examination of four projects they have done over a 10-year period. The registration will be processed through the Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland (RIAI).

In partnership with Scott MacNeill Architects and SBD Safety By Design, the RIAI are running an intensive two day programme on the Project Supervisor Design Process for professionals in the field of architecture. The programme includes, on successful completion of the two days and an assessment, accreditation by the RIAI as a trained Project Supervisor Design Process. The course is being run on the 16th and 17th of September and costs €1205 for non members, discounted from the normal price of €1600.
